WSARA 2023 Conference
The WA State Chapter of the Alliance for Retired People (WSARA) held its 2023 Annual Conference in individual on September 12. Laurie Weidner from the Retired Public Staff Council of WA and Rick Olson from Steelworkers Group of Energetic Retirees have been each re-elected to new 3-year phrases by their union caucuses. They have been sworn into workplace by former WSARA President Ron McGaha.
ARA Govt Director Wealthy Fiesta joined with members by Zoom to offer data on retiree points and the senior vote and Fuse Washington Communications Hub workers Reiny Cohen and Abigail Leong carried out a workshop on Digital Organizing for Seniors.
Three WSARA Senior Champions Awards have been offered. WA State Senator Karen Keiser despatched an acceptance video for her Elected Official award. And the Retiree Advocate Award was shared by Retired Public Staff Council of Washington and Washington Schooling Affiliation-Retired.

President Boschok concluded the assembly with data on the impression of ageism on everybody and why celebrating the upcoming Ageism Consciousness Day on October seventh is a chance to boost consciousness about ageism and assist shift attitudes towards older People.
